1974 VANDEN PLAS 1300 PRINCESS 5,809 MILES FROM NEW

1275cc, manual. This exceptional Vanden Plas 1300 Princess Mk3 has covered only 5809 miles. The history file includes a certificate from the Vanden Plas Owners Club, indicating that VPE 804M was built in February 1974 by the Morris factory at Cowley, finished and trimmed by Vanden Plas in London with Damask Red paintwork and Navy Blue interior trim. It was equipped from new with optional automatic seatbelts and heated rear window, and despatched to the Mann Egerton dealership in Guildford. Although it remained iwth the same owner, it was re-registered to another company within the same group on 1st November 1998 following a change in company registered office. Placed into dry storage in 1981, it remained unused until being unearthed and treated to a service in 2017.

The Vanden Plas has been a multi-concourse winner across the classic car show scene, and many newspaper articles are included in the history file. It is also accompanied by past and present V5Cs indicating only 4 owners from new, plus an original handbook and service booklet with five stamps, the latest at 5643 miles in 2017. (The third stamp indicates that the speedo was replaced when the car was only one year old.) The car passed an MoT with no advisories in 2016 and has covered less than 200 miles since.
