Paperwork includes a receipt for £4000 worth of repairs in 2016, and a print-out from the vendor itemising its restoration in some detail. New carpets were also fitted, along with a new dash, new door panels, and new door and window seals. The heater was reconditioned with a new matrix, and all parts were cleaned and painted.
The rear subframe was replaced; the front subframe was shotblasted. Both were powdercoated. many of the running gear components were renewed, including new CV joints and front hub assemblies with Cooper S disc brakes & calipers, and a Cooper S brake servo. A rebuilt gearbox (3.44 ratio) was installed, and a stainless fuel tank.
The engine was stripped and rebuilt with a re-ground crank and new crank bearing, new piston rings, new duplex timing chain and gears, cam followers etc. The cylinder head was skimmed and converted to unleaded with new valves, guides, seals etc. It was rebuilt with new ancillaries included radiator, water pump etc.
