2204cc, manual. This Rover 2200 TC is finished in Mexico Brown and comes to us from a deceased estate. It is accompanied by a BMIHT Heritage Certificate, an excellent history folder with receipts going back to its earliest years, and a letter from a previous owner describing its history.

The car was first registered on 10th July 1975 by Truman Mitchell Ltd to a buyer in Nottingham, and wore the registration PHD 1M until 2011. From new until 1985 it was reportedly used nearly every day, covering 104k miles. In 1986 at 106k miles it received a reconditioned engine, and it then covered 7k miles between in the following 27 years. In 1987-8 the body was refurbished by a Rover specialist, including fitting new wings, repairing and re-treating the underbody and giving the car a full respray. The engine bay area received an engine-out refurbishment at a classic car specialist in 2004-05, and a full Rustbuster rustproofing treatment was carried out in 2014.

Documentation also includes a large collection of promotional material and period adverts, and the latest V5C which records only 2 former keepers. The most recent keeper took ownership in 2015. The latest MoT expired in 2019, although as a historic vehicle it is now exempt from requiring a test.
