1964 JAGUAR MKII 3.8

This 1964 Jaguar MKII 3.8 has been in the same ownership since acquired in 2012 as a painted rolling bodyshell with a dismantled engine and other components. This engine was deemed to be an uneconomic repair so a reconditioned engine with new clutch and rebuilt carburettors was sourced. As time and funds became available, other parts were fitted and these include a reconditioned overdrive unit, new stainless steel exhaust, retrimmed leather seats, headlining, sun visors, carpets and boot mat, door rubbers, fuel lines, front brake discs and callipers, clutch master cylinder, hoses chrome wheel spinners, door handles and over-riders. A new radiator cowl and fan belt has also been fitted.

Further jobs are required to complete the restoration and these include: Connect and set up the automatic choke for SU carburettors, plumb in the heater and connect cables from the console, bleed the clutch to eliminate air, wire in radio and fit aerial, connect wiring for lights and some auxiliaries and connect the tachometer and fuel gauge.
