This manual BMW 325i (E30) convertible has been with its current owner for 25 years. It features a rare and desirable spec including crimson leather interior, with sports seats and M Sport steering wheel, and 13-button onboard computer. The odometer is showing 154,997 miles, and the car comes with an advisory-free MoT to 2nd June 2026.

Around 15k miles ago the engine was rebuilt and upgraded by Stannard Motors with a displacement increase from 2.5 to 2.7 litres, achieved using alternative BMW crank and conrods. This was combined with a Schrick fast-road camshaft, BTB3 tubular exhaust and X-pipe, and an engine remap, resulting in an estimated power output of 210bhp. The suspension has also been lowered and treated to uprated dampers, believed to be by Bilstein (unconfirmed).

The large history file contains MoT certificates back to 2001, and a large collection of maintenance receipts dating back to 48k miles in 1997. These include the receipt for the engine rebuild, with other work including…

  • Valve clearances adjusted at 154k miles in 2023
  • Ignition leads and injectors replaced at 154k miles in 2022
  • Clutch slave master cylinder replaced at 154k miles in 2021
  • Full service including aux belts and a new radiator at 153k miles in 2020.

The car is also equipped with a Sterling Touch immobiliser, and a tow bar is included, which we're told has not been used in the vendor's 25-year ownership. The history file is accompanied by spare keys, handbooks, and the original 2.5-litre engine ECU chip.

The vendor advises that the front fog lights, factory alarm and external temperature sensor are not working. He also advises that there is a small oil weep in the engine bay which has been present for a few years, but never been mentioned on the MoT.

First registration was on 21st September 1990.
