1973 FORD CORTINA 1600 GT

This lovely Mk3 Ford Cortina 1600 GT has recently benefitted from a full body restoration by its meticulous owner, with a respray in Sebring Red. The odometer is showing 93,249 miles. The vendor has retained a highly original spec to complement the impressive history folder. His work included retrimming the seats, fitting all new suspension and brakes, new tyres, new rubber seals around the doors and glass, and a full service which involved renewing all the oils.

Paperwork comprises a large collection of maintenance receipts from 1996-on, including a stack of parts receipts from 2025, plus MoT certificates (1995-2017), tax discs (1997-2015) and the latest V5C. First registration was on 1st January 1973.

The car was recorded on VCAR as a Category B insurance loss ("damaged but repairable") in 1997, but has been MoT tested for the road many times since then. The last 6 MoTs were passed with no advisories, although the latest expired in 2017.
