Estimate: £6,000 - £8,000
- V5 present
- MoT exempt
- Chassis number: RME42S20857
- Engine size: 1496cc
This smart Riley RME 1.5 saloon has been MoT tested quite regularly in recent years. Its latest certificate was awarded with no advisories, although this expired in May last year. Trimmed with a “Biscuit” brown interior in lovely condition, the car is displaying 1959 miles on its odometer, and once appeared on the front page of Practical Classics magazine in 1997 (according to an accompanying record from the Riley RM Club Register).
The car comes with good collection of maintenance invoices from the last couple of decades. These show a four-figure investment last summer for works which included refurbishing the steering column, replacing the steering wheel, fitting a new starter solenoid and stainless exhaust, servicing the engine, and various other maintenance and refurbishment tasks. The history file is accompanied by a Riley instruction book and workshop manual, and the current V5C. The date of first registration was 6th November 1952.
The registration number is non-transferable.
