This red Peugeot 106 Rallye has an advisory-free MoT to 19th March 2027, and its odometer shows 130,007 miles.

Only 1000 of this model were ever made by Peugeot Motorsport in right-hand drive for the British market. This example has been professionally modified for competition by SCA International Race and Rally Centre in Norwich, in whose name the car was registered in 2005. It does not have an RAC log book as this was not required for Enduro or 12-car rallies, but the V5C is present. It gives the date of first registration as 31st March 1994.

The Peugeot is also accompanied by previous V5Cs, a collection of MoT certificates dating back to the 1990s, some technical details and a dynamometer print-out.

In the vendor’s words: "This car really is a lot of fun and I have had a lot of success with it. It has been dry stored for the last 9 years and started regularly."

In 1998 it was recorded on VCAR as Category D ("damaged but repairable"). This was long before its professional build and the car has been successfully MoT tested many times since then, often with no advisories

The car's specification includes…

An OMP front & rear roll cage, with bodywork strengthening to the front top mounts under the radiator mounting and gearbox lower body mount.

The engine is an OEM S1 Rally engine which was installed brand new (not reconditioned) in 2005. The vendor tells us that it is totally standard apart from running a Superchip Stage 1 chip in the ECU, with a K&N air filter and a stainless de-cat exhaust from the manifold back. This engine has received regular oil changes and has now achieved around 16,000 miles.

The gearbox is a standard S1 Rallye gearbox, and the clutch is a heavy-duty Helix organic item. The engine uses Group A mounts, and the gearbox sits on Powerflex mounts. A sump guard and tank guard are also fitted.

The front suspension has Bilstein GP4 inserts which are crafted onto standard Rallye hubs and fitted with 160lb 11.5in springs. The rear axle was fitted with new bearings and seals, then raised up on the splines of the torsion beam, and the rear shocks are Peugeot Motorsport gravel spec. The drive shafts are competition spec items from DriveLink AutoSport. The front brakes are standard S1 with Ferodo pads, and the rear drums are standard S1 with Aeroquip flexi hoses.

Up front are CIBI Super Oscar driving lamps with new covers, and the car's interior features bucket seats with six-point harnesses and a TerraTrip rally computer, whose pickups are on the rear brake drums.
