1958 FORD PREFECT

1172cc, manual. This Ford Prefect saloon was purchased by the vendor's late husband in 2002 and treated to a restoration which occupied the following 22 years. By the time it returned to the road in 2024, it had been stripped back to a bare shell and re-sprayed, and the original engine had been stripped and overhauled together with the steering box, gearbox and axle. We are told the car was running well when it was last in use in April 2025, but it has been in storage in a garage since then.

It comes with a careful hand-written record of the restoration, together with spare keys, current V5C showing 3 former keepers, a service receipt from 1964, MoT certificate from 1993, and a few photos. Some of these images show the car before its restoration, when it was painted black. Today the odometer is showing 66,808 miles. 

The registration number is non-transferable.
