1975 MORRIS MARINA 1.8 SDL ESTATE

1,798cc. This three owner Morris Marina 1.8SDL Estate is 1 of 8 being offered from a private Norfolk collection. The vendor purchased the car in 2013 with the intention of restoring it to return back to road use but unfortunately this did not happen and it has been retained in dry storage since. We have been contacted by the previous owner of 40 years who informs us that the car was fitted with a fully ported and gas flowed unleaded cylinder head (Janspeed), modified carburettor, uprated suspension and full brace of Cibe lighting including a type 40 fog lamp for reversing. It also had a laminated screen. During their ownership it was taken off the road and placed in dry storage in 1984 and only started up and driven on private land. It briefly came back out on the road in 2006 when was last MoT'd at 95,651 miles. We have been advised that this was the last recorded Mk1 Estate and began its life as a Leyland Management Car plan  vehicle in Birmingham. The previous owner has said he would happy to talk to the new owner as he has a large amount of history and photographs, he describes this car as “a hidden gem and something of a “wolf in sheep's clothing””. It comes with current V5, a few copy MoTs and images. The mileage is recorded at 95,662
