1986 FORD CAPRI 2.8 INJECTION

2792cc, manual. This Ford Capri 2.8i is being sold as a barn find that will requiring recommissioning, having been in storage since 1998. The engine benefits from a new battery, injectors, fuel pump, air filter and fresh oil, and the vendor reports that it “runs sweet but will not tick over and keep running”, and we have not been able to make it run. The car appears well preserved overall, and its interior is equipped with half-leather Recaro seats and a manual sunroof.

This is a very late example, registered in September 1986 just three months before production ended. It's described as “totally original” and believed to be unrestored, with 96,398 miles showing on the odometer. Paperwork comprises all the car's old MoT certificates from 1990-1999, together with various maintenance receipts, invoices from when the car changed hands in 1996 and 1998, and the V5C which indicates 7 former keepers. It also comes with a factory workshop manual.
