1980 MERCEDES 280E W123

2746cc, auto. This Mercedes 280E (W123) saloon was rescued from a barn near Haverhill in Suffolk in 2023, having been standing since 1993. It's now been thoroughly recommissioned and covered over 2000 miles of shakedown mileage, driving every day since April. The blue half-leather interior is equipped with an original Philips cassette player and sunroof, and the vendor describes the car as “running perfectly”.

Although we don't have any receipts with the car, we're told that its refurbishment has involved replacement of all oils and fluids, a new thermostat, aux belts, spark plugs, leads, fuel pump, rear shock absorbers, front wheel bearings, steering damper, radiator, brake hoses, rebuilt calipers, brake discs & pads, tyres (part-worn) and coolant pump, and the warm-up regulator has been rebuilt.

The Mercedes comes with its V5C showing 3 former keepers, and the original handbook pack with its service book, showing 7 services up to 43k miles. The odometer indicates 121,990 miles.
