1796cc petrol, manual. This red MkII Vauxhall Cavalier SRi is a highly impressive example, with superb bodywork and grey cloth seats which appear hardly used. The vendor's late husband was a qualified mechanic who owned the car for 38 years until he passed away in 2024. We're told it has no filler and no rust, and was “his pride and joy”.

The car is equipped with oil pressure and volt meters, along with its period multi-cassette player, with heated driver's seat and electric mirrors. The rear number plate suggests it was supplied by Gales of Diss, and it wears a Ziebart sticker in the rear window which helps to explain its lovely preservation. Its current MoT was passed without advisories and remains valid to 12th May 2027, and we're told that everything on the car works.

It comes with a collection of MoT certificates going back to 2001, the current V5C showing 3 former keepers, and a couple of receipts – one for valve guides in 2010 and another for basic maintenance in May this year. The odometer shows 92,65 miles.

This is a rare chance to acquire an iconic '80s performance saloon which as clearly been cherished all its life.
