Fiat's mid-engined X1/9 small sports car forged quite a reputation for itself during its 1972 to 1989 life. First registered in March 1989, this was one of the final cars constructed. The car has been in long-term registered ownership since 2001 and it's odometer records 65,413 miles. A complete strip down and restoration was completed around 2002 and the paperwork file includes the current V5C, the original handbook pack, plus receipts for an oil sender unit, head set, cambelt and clutch slave cylinder and a 2005 invoice for a full performance exhaust system. The MoT certificates range from 1995 to 2000, 2002, 2004 and 2005, when the mileage was 65,404 miles, suggesting the car was taken off the road shortly after a full restoration and it is understood that it has been used very sparingly since. The car was sympathetically recommissioned in August 2022 with a new cambelt, tyres and check over. The service book is stamped up to 62,291 miles. The 1498cc car also comes with a large selection of X1/9 Owners' Club magazines. Described by the vendor as in excellent condition with no nasty welded patches or corrosion underneath and a spritely little 1500cc engine and slick gearbox. Six registered owners from new.
