1997 VOLVO 940 CLASSIC 2.3 LPT TORSLANDA

This late model Volvo 940 2.3 Low Pressure Turbo Torslanda estate, registered August 1997, has had just two owners from new, the first for 24 years until he gave up driving. It was used as a family workhorse, but received any work required, as evidenced by the thick stack of invoices from throughout its life. This includes the original order sheet showing an original sale price of £13,574.47 plus £255.32 for the tape player. There's also the book pack with owner's handbook, radio instructions (and code) and two service books stamped with full main dealer Volvo history up to 2020 - a total of 25 stamps in all, which also warrants the mileage along with the MoT certificates. The last service was at 156,835 miles in August 2020; the current mileage is 163,031, and the vehicle is MoT'd through to November 2023. Along with the other paperwork, there's also a 1997 range brochure, V5C and MoT certificates from 2009, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021 and 2022. A sticker in the engine bay indicates the cambelt was changed in July 2017 at 147,858 miles.  A spare set of keys also comes with the car.  

The vendor describes the car as running and driving well, and being surprisingly fast and comfortable with its manual gearbox. It remains in original spec outside, with a tidy interior that includes the £255 Volvo-branded tape player plus working heated seats. Aside from some paint lacquer damage in patches on the bonnet and roof, the Volvo presents very well.
