1988 FORD FIESTA XR2

This Mk2 Fiesta XR2 is only being sold due to a loss of storage. The vendor tells us that it is a very original example that runs and drives but is is ready for further recommissioning - in 2022, it had a new timing belt kit, water pump and new wheel bearing fitted, along with an oil and filter change, spark plugs, air filter, new ignition module and front tie rod poly bush kit. It does, however, now need its brakes overhauling. The car was registered in July 1988 and has 18,495 miles showing on its odometer - reference to the MoT and service history suggests this is 118,495 miles. Six registered keepers overall are shown on the V5C. The documentation accompanying the vehicle includes the V5C, some recent eBay invoices for parts, and the service book with 18 entries (albeit most handwritten, not stamped), the last being in July 2022 at 18,485 miles, the one previous to that being at 96,122 miles in August 2000. There is no current MoT and no note of one since online records began in 2005.
