1979 MG MIDGET 1500

Registered in June 1979 and now with 61,721 miles showing on its odometer. The vendor tells us that this 1.5-litre 1979 MG Midget has been used regularly since 2020, and serviced (2020 and 2022) and maintained throughout, but has also been stored and garaged during winters. It is reported as running well, although during our test drive, it was noted that the choke cable is somewhat sticky. As an historic vehicle, the MG no longer requires an MoT, its last expired in February 2019 after having been tested the previous year at 56,838 miles. One small tear in the hood is noted. Recent work has included a new starter, distributor, leads, coil and alternator in 2022. Documentation accompanying the Midget includes the V5C, 2020 service bill and 2020 invoice for a new water pump and coolant system flush. The invoice for the 2022 service has been mislaid.
