1972 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE ONE OWNER 

Registered in September 1972, this Triumph Spitfire has had just a single owner. Its odometer shows 41,896 miles, which the vendor asserts as genuine. As an historic vehicle, the 1296cc Spitfire is now MoT-exempt but this one has nevertheless been given one which is valid through to the end of April 2023. The vendor notes the work being carried out over the years as a new soft-top, bumpers, door handles and tonneau during 1981, new clutch in 1988, new exhaust in 1990, and track rod ends and wheel bearing in 1992. In 1994 it was refurbished by a specialist restorer. Pirelli tyres were fitted in 2007 and front brake hoses, brake pipes, torsion bars and brackets replaced in 2008. More recently the headlights were replaced in 2018, carburettors and ignition coil in 2020, and battery and starter motor in 2023. The vehicle is described as running well and reliable with no issues and an excellent soft-top, having always been kept in a garage. Documentation accompanying the car includes the V5C, various MoTs, itemised account of work carried out, Passport to Service booklet, owner's handbook and assorted invoices. There's also three spare keys.
