1961 FORD CONSUL CLASSIC

This 1498cc Ford Consul Classic is a rare survivor, and has a very well-documented past. It was registered in October 1961 and its last MoT expired in May 2018, after having been tested at 94,776 miles the previous year - although as an historic vehicle, the Ford is now MoT-exempt. The current odometer reading is 95,112 miles. The vendor describes the car as running well, but it has been unused since last summer. A new battery is a recent fitment. The extensive paperwork file includes the V5C, show memorabilia, an Autopress Ltd workshop manual, Ford Motor Company workshop manual, 1961 Ford parts list and a petrol ration book. Then there are two folders of club literature and many invoices and bills right the way back to 1962. There's a selection of MoT certificates from 1970 onwards, which suggest the mileage is genuine.
