This is the earliest-known Velox on the records of the Vauxhall Owners' Club to feature the ‘oversquare’ 2262cc six-cylinder engine fitted from April 1952  onwards. Although declared registered/used on its V5C in 1951, its chassis number dates it to circa April/May 1952; the vendor believes that the car was rescued from the scrapyard during the 1980s, having dropped off Swansea's system. When it was reregistered in June 1984, it was given an estimated date of manufacture/first use - hence being recorded as a 1951 rather than a 1952 model. The car's odometer shows 13,471 miles and six registered keepers are noted since its 1984 ‘rebirth’. As an historic vehicle, the Vauxhall is now MoT-exempt; its last expired in November 2015 after having been tested the previous year at an indicated 9035 miles.

The Vauxhall was extensively renovated during 2019 to 2023 (during which it was unused) and has early features such as the plastic instrument cover, rubber kickplates on rear doors, 0-80mph speedometer and side-opening bonnet. The vendor notes that the car is running well but has a noisy rear axle and the interior needs finishing. History accompanying the Velox includes the current and past V5Cs, restoration invoices and receipts, old MoTs, owner's handbook (for a later model), and workshop manual photocopy. There's also a spare set of keys as well.
