1961 ROVER P4 100

The vendor reports that this 2.6-litre Rover P4 100 with manual overdrive transmission is ‘a sheer delight to drive’, running and driving well with no known issues. The car is in excellent condition inside and out, save for some small bubbles under the paint on the front wings. Receipts and invoices included show a lot of money spent on work and parts over recent years. The 100 was registered in January 1961 and its V5C shows four registered keepers. Although now MoT-exempt as an historic vehicle, the Rover has been given a fresh MoT, which is valid through to September 2024. Upgrades include the fitment of power steering plus recent new leather upholstery. There's also been replacement brake discs, calipers, servo, wheel cylinders, brake pipes and hoses. In addition, the bumpers have been rechromed, and the engine crankshaft and conrod bearings etc have received attention, plus the cylinder head has been skimmed. The chassis and engine numbers are matching, incidentally. The boot mat is new, and gas struts fitted to the lid to aid lifting. Radial tyres are fitted, with the spare unused. 

The car shows 80,718 miles on its odometer, with the previous six MoT certificates taking this back to 70,828 miles in 2017. Other documentation with the car includes the V5C, some Rover P4 Drivers' Guild magazines, assorted 21st century invoices, MoT certificates, Rover workshop manual and the owner's manual. There's also a collection of 13 show plaques from events the Rover has attended. The 100 retains its full tool kit, including the jack, wheel brace, starting handle and under-dash tool set.
