1981 VESPA (DOUGLAS) 50CC

This Piaggio Vespa has come from a deceased estate, which acquired it in 2012. It was last used approximately eight to nine years ago. Unfortunately, little other history is known about the scooter. It was registered in the UK in September 1981 and is showing 12,990 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in February 2014 after having been tested the previous year at an indicated 12,990 miles. The scooter now qualifies for MoT exemption as an historic vehicle, although the taxation class will need to be changed on the V5C. Not having been used for a long period, there has been no attempt to start or run the scooter. Documentation includes the V5C and MoT certificates from 2010, 2012 and 2013. 

In February 2002, the Vespa was noted as a Category C insurance loss; vehicle extensively damaged but repairable, insurer decided not to repair.
