This 875cc Hillman Imp, registered in November 1973, was recommissioned over a six-year period from 2016 to 2022 after having been stored unused since 1991. This involved the replacement of the brake pipes with copper items, replacement of wheel cylinders and water pump and a repaint back to its original white colour from green (which will need to be amended with the DVLA). The vendor reports that it drives very well, and believes that a reconditioned engine was fitted at some point. The indicated mileage on the odometer is 46,650 miles and five registered keepers overall are recorded on the V5C, two of whom were two sisters who had the Hillman from 1978 to 2016. There's no MoT; while the Hillman is now eligible for historic vehicle free tax and exemption from MoT testing, it will need its tax class amending with the DVLA. Paperwork with the Imp includes the current V5C and a past V5, 1989 MoT certificate, three invoices and a Speedy Spares Ltd catalogue of parts. There's also a Pearson's Hillman Imp/Singer Chamois servicing manual.
