1989 FORD ESCORT XR3I CABRIOLET 

This 1989 Ford Escort XR3i Cabriolet is a rare ‘All White’ edition with only 125 righthand-drive examples reportedly made by Karmann. The car, which the vendor has owned for 17 years (on three separate occasions, thus representing three of the seven owners overall) features Recaro front seats, electric windows and special alloy wheels. This example was registered in December 1989 and is now showing 104,817 miles on its odometer. Its MoT is valid until June 2024. The vendor describes the car as ‘running fine with no issues’, with the hood reported to be ‘fair’ and working. The Escort is original, but has had some touch-ups over the years. Recent work has involved just servicing. 

Documentation with Escort includes the V5C plus some invoices and MoT certificates. There's also a spare set of keys. In September 2011, the car was a Category D Insurance Loss; Vehicle Damaged But Repairable, Insurer Decided Not To Repair. The vendor notes that this was because the car was under-insured and the repair cost just £700.
