1952 AUSTIN A90 ATLANTIC

Barn find Austin A90 Atlantic, off the road for over 40 years and thus requiring complete restoration. The 2660cc Austin was registered in February 1952. There's no V5C (and the Atlantic seems to have fallen off the DVLA's database) but there is there is the old buff logbook, some old correspondence from the 1960s regarding a protracted insurance claim, a substantial number of Austin Counties Car Club magazines and spare parts lists, other sundry paperwork and an A90 Atlantic 50th anniversary limited edition medallion from 1998. There's also a copy of a newspaper report relating to the 1960s' insurance claim, chronicling how twin brothers attempted to change the identity of the Atlantic to one that had been scrapped but were caught by the police, which gives a little bit of flavour to its background.
