In 1970, this Jaguar 420 G Auto, the 17th from last in right-hand drive to leave the production line at Browns Lane, was bought new by Glaxo for its chairman, and was chauffeur-driven during that time. When Glaxo sold it, the chauffeur purchased it and kept it for some years before it was repurchased by Glaxo. Since then, it has had two Jaguar Enthusiast Club owners. The vendor (who has owned it for just over three years) has had the car resprayed after the original Regency Red paint started to fade and the woodwork was also removed and refinished; beyond this though, much of the car is original. The vendor describes the Jaguar as running ‘perfectly’ and is now only selling it due to moving abroad.

The Jaguar was registered in August 1970 and has had four registered keepers overall. It is MoT'd through to April 2024 (although, as an historic car, the 420 G is now MoT-exempt) and is showing 48,742 miles on its odometer. The large amount of paperwork includes the V5C, original brochure, service book and green log book showing the Glaxo ownership. There's also an assortment of bills plus a lubrication chart and several magazines featuring the car.
