The vendor has owned this Riley RMF since 2002. Its original 2.5-litre engine has been replaced with a 2.0-litre Fiat twin-cam and five-speed transmission. The vendor reports it as running and with the gearbox functional, but it has been off the road for over 10 years and, as it has had new fuel lines, there's no fuel in the tank. Other recent work has included an overhauled radiator, new rear springs and shocks in 2020. The brakes have been stripped and require rebuilding (the parts are in the car). The vendor regards the Riley as a good basis to recommission and use, with its tuneable classic Fiat engine or this replaced by an original Riley unit. The Riley was built in 1952 but reregistered in January 1987, since when it has had two registered keepers. Its odometer shows 33,913 and its last MoT expired in May 2009 after having been tested the previous year at an indicated 33,823 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Riley will now be MoT-exempt. History includes the V5C, some invoices, maintenance notes and club magazines. There's also a spare set of keys as well.
