The vendor has owned this 1972 Norton Commando 750cc for 27 years, although it has been stored for the last 14 years, albeit with the engine turned over periodically. It is reported to have been running fine when stored. While in use, the wheels were rebuilt with new rims and spokes, new fork stanchions, bushes and steering head bearings. It has had MkIII Vernier Isolatics fitted but period modifications have been left in place. There's also a new carburettor and John Williams Tank Shop Manx-style tank. The vendor considers it as a sound project for recommissioning. The bike was registered in October 1972 and has four registered keepers recorded on its V5C. Its odometer shows 24,706 miles. The bike was previously orange; its colour was changed in 2005. Paperwork accompanying the Norton includes the V5C, an MoT from 2005 (when the mileage was noted as 24,325) and some bills from the 1990s and early 21st century.
