The vendor purchased this 1934 Austin Box 7 saloon in 2002 and fully restored it, getting it back on the road in 2008. At that point, the 747cc engine was left as it was, but this was rebuilt over 2018/2019 when a dynamo and new tyres were also fitted. The Austin has only covered approximately 800 miles since (including 35 miles being driven to the auction). The car was registered in April 1934 and is showing 5803 miles; when the vendor bought it in 2002, it recorded 0225 miles. There is no MoT; its last expired in April 2015 after being tested the year before at an indicated 2131 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Austin no longer requires annual testing. The vendor reports that the Austin runs well, although he feels that the brakes could now do with some adjustment. Paperwork includes the V5C and some invoices including ones for the engine rebuild at around £3000. Photos of the rebuild are available if required.
