This 1972 MGB GT with overdrive was restored by a specialist during 1988 to 1992, when the body colour was changed from Harvest Gold to red (but with the Navy trim retained), and then used by a retired gentleman to take part in car runs and shows (including occasionally to mainland Europe) - thus it comes with many rally plaques and badges. The engine was reconditioned in 2011 using an MG Owners' Club short motor and exchange cylinder head.

The car was registered in February 1972 and has an MoT through to March 2025 (even though, as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual MoT-testing). The odometer shows 2345 miles. Documentation includes the V5C, a file kept by the 1992-2022 owner showing all the work and maintenance done by local MG specialists a large folder of invoices, MOTs and photos of the car before, during and after its rebuild. There's also a Heritage Certificate as well.
