1978 FORD ESCORT 1600 ESTATE 

Finished as an Escort Mexico tribute with Mexico front wings, the vendor describes this Ford Escort MkII as an ‘exceptionally solid example that drives really well’. Although the V5C states it has a 1.3-litre engine, it is now fitted with a 1.6-litre engine (711M block) so this will need to be amended with the DVLA. Upgrades on the car include remote central locking, an electric aerial and immobiliser. The estate was registered in October 1978 and is showing 99,992 miles on its odometer. Five registered keepers are recorded by the V5C, with the last having it for 14 years. Its last MoT expired in August 2020 after having been tested the year before at an indicated 99,908 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Escort is now free from annual testing. Documentation includes the V5C, MoTs back to 1993, operating guide and service book stamped up to 48,057 miles in 1981.
