This dramatic-looking MGB GT has been re-engined with a Rover T16 Tomcat Turbo engine along with a later-type LT77 five-speed gearbox and lots of other modifications. The vendor has owned it since 2016 and it has been fully restored with bespoke all-steel front and rear wings. The 1994cc T16 turbocharged engine features uprated cams, a tweaked turbocharger, electric waterpump and fans, the catalytic convertors removed and a MEMS ECU. The brakes have been uprated with front and rear, and the suspension has been polybushed and lowered two inches, stiffened and features reverse eye rear springs with adjustable telescopic shocks, matched front springs, uprated shocks and thicker anti-roll bar. The front arms are negative camber. Attached to the Rover LT77 five-speed are a bespoke propshaft, Rover V8 differential and new clutch. A new Exide battery has just been fitted as well. The vendor reports that the car is ‘well-sorted and handles very well, and has the sort of power that MGB V8 owners can only dream of’.

The MoT is valid until May 2025 and the odometer shows 83,779 miles, although the vendor states that the engine has done approximately 1000 miles since its rebuild. The car's original registration date was January 1976. Paperwork includes the V5C, MoT certificates and invoices stretching back around a decade.
