Rolls-Royce's flagship Phantom VI was very exclusive luxury transport, with just 374 examples built between 1968 and 1990, generally with limousine or landaulet coachwork from Mulliner Park Ward. The late Queen Elizabeth II had two examples, both of which were used as official State Cars. This one, finished in Black with Garnet lower bodywork, was registered in July 1976 in Britain, with its price being £34,367.19 including extras. Its specification included a television, quadrophonic tape player and cocktail cabinet in the rear compartment. It seems to have been exported to Japan in 1986 and returned to the UK circa 2020. It has been in storage for some years, which means either a new battery or alternator is now required. Recent work has included a gearbox overhaul by a specialist costing £7000. The odometer shows 985 miles (it was 900 miles when it came from Japan) and there's no online record of an MoT; however, as an historic vehicle, the Phantom will no longer need annual testing. The 985 miles isn't believed to be a genuine overall mileage but the car is thought to have covered less than 40,000 miles. Five registered keepers are recorded.

The Phantom is recorded as running and driving, aside from the battery/alternator issue. It comes with its V5C, Rolls-Royce construction and test records, some fascinating early correspondence regarding work being done on the car, and Japanese export information.
