This 2838cc Austin Champ was manufactured in May 1955 and entered service with the UK military, serving with the British Army of the Rhine in Germany until February 1966. After being sold into civilian life in Germany, this one was UK-registered in July 2021, since when it has had just one registered keeper. Its odometer shows 27,056 miles and it has an MoT valid until January 2025 even though, as an historic vehicle, the Austin no longer requires annual testing. It is described as running perfectly and has just had a complete driveshaft/front running gear rebuild, along with a carburettor rebuild, at a cost £5000. The Champ has an electric fuel pump fitted. Its canvas top is described as in good order. Paperwork with the Champ includes the V5C, assorted invoices, Austin Champ Owners' Club dating letter and other information (including several club magazines) and a copy of a parts list and the user manual.
