The admission fee is £10 which admits two people with one catalogue. If you are unable to attend the actual auction, this enables you to leave a bid having viewed the car in person. If you are still attending the auction, you can arrive later or when the car is being offered, having already satisfied yourself that you wish to bid. As long as you bring your catalogue, you gain free admission.
If you are unable to attend the Viewing, the doors open at 10am on sale day which gives you two hours to look around the cars and peruse the documents before the auction starts at 12 midday. You will need to register for a bidding number in the office.
You can collect your car on the Sunday after the sale between 10am and 2pm but this does have to be arranged by 7pm on sale day, otherwise the vehicle may get blocked in.
Remote Bidding: If you are making a telephone or fixed bid, this will need to be registered by 7pm on the Friday prior to the auction. Please refer to the information below regarding remote bidding.
There is a buyers' premium of 6% (+vat) to be added to your bid price. Please note that a minimum charge of £120 (+vat) applies.
If you are not paying in full on the day, you can pay the outstanding balance by debit card over the telephone, directly into the bank or on collection if this is on or before the Wednesday following the auction. All accounts need to be settled by the following Wednesday at the latest.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: A bank charge is payable for each transfer made within the EU of £7 and £15 for all other countries, this will added to your invoice.
If you wish to bid, but unable to view at any time, you have two options as below.
Telephone Bid: You register all your details with us by telephone or email, paying a deposit as outlined below. This allows you to bid live at the time the vehicle is being offered through one of our representatives.
Fixed Bid: Again this can be arranged by telephone or email. You will be required to confirm the maximum amount that you wish to bid.
With regards to both of the above options, we like to be assured that we have provided you with as much information as we possibly can, so a walk-round description over the telephone can be arranged.
If you are a successful bidder, whether provisionally or outright, and are not paying for the vehicle in full on the day, you will be required to leave a deposit as detailed below. This applies to both bidders who are present and those who are registering for a telephone/fixed bid:
Bids accepted after 7pm on the FRIDAY prior to the sale cannot be guaranteed.
A deposit of 10% of the lower guide price, or a minimum of 10% is payable.
This is refundable by the next Monday or Tuesday at the latest.
Please allow three to four days for the refund to be credited to your card.
If your bid has been taken provisionally by the auctioneer due to it being lower than the vendors reserve, you are still required to pay a deposit until it is confirmed whether your bid has been accepted.
