This Volvo 122S - the designation denoting the two-door twin-carb variant - was registered in January 1968 and has 1920 miles showing on its odometer, although this is likely to be 101,920 miles. Finished in British Racing Green with tan interior, the car - affectionately known as George - has an overdrive gearbox and new Lockheed servo. It was dry-stored for 40 years and had only done five miles in all that time before being purchased in 2019 and recommissioned. That was at circa 87,000 miles. The V5C shows three keepers overall. As an historic vehicle no longer requires annual testing; nevertheless, this one has a fresh MoT through to January 2024. The car is believed to be largely original save for a respray plus enhancements such as 185-65 R15 tyres, stiffened springs and electronic ignition.
The history folder with the car includes the V5C, MoT certificates from 1998, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2023. There's also a 1987 tax disc, and a selection of bills for recent work from 2019 to 2022. The book pack is present, with two owner's handbooks and a service book that goes up to 1974 and 79,543 miles.
