2,225cc, diesel engine. This 1955 series I Land Rover was supplied new to The Proof and Experimental Establishment in Carmarthenshire. It has been owned by the vendor since 2013 who has spent £10,000 on improvements during the last ten years, this included the fully reconditioned 2.25 litre diesel engine fitted by Turner Engineering in 2016. Around 1,000 miles have been covered since. Driven 60 miles to the auction, it is described by the vendor as reliable, running well with no known faults and having a solid chassis and bulkhead. The brake servo has been upgraded, which makes it a very usable classic, along with new Exmoor trim tilt and seats. Fitted with good tyres and recently serviced. It retains the original Mayflower front mounted mechanical winch, free-wheeling hubs and inspection lamp.
The history file contains Heritage certificate, some receipts, MoTs, supporting documents and articles. Remains on its original registration plate. Mileage is recorded 55,500.
