This charming Rover 12 P2 was registered in October 1939, a month into the start of World War Two. Although now 84 years old, the car has never been restored yet remains in good overall condition. The vendor, who is only selling due to the purchase of another vehicle, describes it as ‘driving beautifully with no noises’ having had a recent engine and gearbox oil change, a complete rewire, new tyres, exhaust, electric fuel pump and an electric fan. The mileage indicated by the odometer is 69,230 miles. As an historic vehicle, the Rover no longer requires annual MoT testing; its last expired in January 2017 after having been tested the previous year at 64,090 miles. Just six registered keepers overall are recorded by the V5C, with the first keeping it from 1939 to 1980.

The well-organised history folder accompanying the Rover includes the V5C, some Rover Sports Register magazines, Meteor Spares catalogue, a 1936 Rover brochure and old tax discs back to 1982 (plus a 1939 one that is believed to be a reproduction). There are also some bills plus MoT certificates from 1991 to 1993, 1995 to 2003, 2006 and 2016.
