This lovely Fiat 2300 station wagon is a rare UK survivor, having come to the UK new in right-hand drive format in 1967; it was registered in October of that month. The stylish load-lugger, designed with very sharp looks by Pininfarina and aimed by Fiat at the American market, was in production from 1961 to 1968 and was one of the Italian marque's flagship models at the time. This one is now showing 87,709 miles on its odometer, and has had six registered keepers overall according to its V5C. As an historic vehicle it is now MoT-exempt; its last expired in August 2018 after having been tested the previous year at 87,590 miles. The vendor, who has owned it since 2008, reports that it runs and drives well, and has been little used in recent years. It was restored at some point before his ownership but is still standing up very well, with the interior being especially nice.
The history folder that accompanies the Fiat includes the current and past V5Cs, period adverts and an Independent newspaper article laminated for display at shows, event plaques, some invoices and MoT certificates, period brochures and road test reports, and an account of the restoration published online, along with pictures.
