The vendor has owned this BMW E21 320 for 37 years, from 1986 to the present. It's a rare six-cylinder factory manual variant which is in completely original state, even down to the glass, and has never been welded. It has been garage-stored from 1999 to the present, but the vendor describes it as structurally sound (albeit with some wheel arch and rear numberplate hole corrosion), and running, driving and stopping well, with no overheating and the clutch and gearbox working as they should. The timing belt has been changed and some minor recommissioning undertaken (such as a new battery, fuel tank drained and cleaned, fresh petrol and fuel filter, oil and filter service, rebuilt front brake callipers with new pistons and seals and light recommissioning to rear brakes). It's recommended that further recommissioning be carried out before the car is properly used on the road again though, such as new brake lines, exhaust, tyres and other mechanical work . The paint has faded a bit and there is micro-blistering in some spots such as the bonnet. The odometer shows shows 101,563 miles, which is supported by the MoT, service history and SORN information.

The BMW was supplied in October 1982 as a British armed forces private vehicle, but within a month was in the UK. After the vendor acquired it in 1987, as its fifth owner, and maintained the vehicle throughout her ownership, covering around 50,000 miles. However, when she upgraded to a bigger car in 1999, the 320 was put away in a garage, with the intention of eventually returning it to the road; however this never happened. The vendor considers the car as a light to medium scale winter project for somebody to undertake.

Paperwork includes the current and past V5Cs, book pack including service book with stamps from 1982 to 1985, every MoT from 1987 to 1999 and service and repair invoices from 1989 to 1999 plus an invoice for the recent recommissioning work, and SORN applications. There's also a Haynes manual as well.
