Purchased new by a lady in 1965, this Morris Minor 1000 was bought by the mechanic who serviced it for her when she retired, after which it was dry-stored for 12 years. In 1996, the car began to be restored, including a full engine overhaul (with unleaded head) and a respray. The vendor took over work on the car in 2014, fitting a new clutch, rear leaf springs and exhaust system, and carrying out servicing. He bought the car outright in 2021, since when he has replaced the front brakes, fitted a new fuel pump and fully serviced the car (in October) including a new battery, points, condenser, rotor, distributor cap, plug leads, plugs etc.
The Minor was registered in July 1965 and is showing three recorded keepers overall. Its has an MoT until January 2025 even though, as an historic vehicle, it no longer requires annual testing. Its odometer shows 96,639 miles. The Minor is reported as running well with no known issues. Documentation includes the V5C, current MoT certificate and one from 1983, print out of the online MoT history, and a driver's handbook and the book The Morris Minor by Ray Newell. There's also a set of spare keys as well.
