1985 FORD CAPRI 2.8 INJECTION

Registered in May 1985, this Ford Capri 2.8 Injection has been in storage from 2018 to 2024 and would therefore benefit from a tune-up. However, after light restoration work, it runs and drives and has a long MoT through to April 2025. The odometer shows 98,371 miles.  

Work carried out on the Capri during late 2020 to early 2021 includes refurbished alloy wheels, new tyres, brake calipers, brake pads, front brake discs, rear brake drums, all-round brake hoses, rear wheel cylinders, brake pipes, spark plugs, fuel filter, air filter, brake fluid, engine oil, filter and gearbox oil. The seats were also refurbished. Also new were a distributor cap, rotor arm, rear exhaust boxes, front anti-roll bar and nearside and offside front lower wishbone suspension arms. The bodywork was refurbished with repaints of both sides plus the bonnet, new side stripes fitted and there was also a new parcel shelf, door weatherstrips and seals, headlamps, and refurbished bumpers. Work during 2024 has included a new fuel pump, fuel filter, rocker cover gaskets, full Sportex exhaust, all suspension bushes, front-anti-roll bar, HT leads, airslide valve, reconditioned radiator, water pump, thermostat, top and bottom hoses, battery, temperature sensor and viscous fan. The vendor describes it as very good underneath. 

Paperwork with the Capri includes the V5C, MoT certificates and invoices.
