Registered in November 1955, this 803cc Morris Minor convertible - known as Gertrude - isn't currently running, having spent some time off the road. Its odometer shows 65,523 miles and its last MoT expired in January 2012 after having been tested the previous year at an indicated 65,523 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, the Minor is now MoT-exempt. We are told that restoration work was carried out in 2007, which is possibly when the colour was changed from the previous blue. The vendor has owned the Morris since 1973, so only a single owner is recorded by the V5C, dating back to computerisation by the DVLA. Paperwork with the Minor includes the V5C, an old V5, and some 1980s paperwork.
The vendor notes that many items have recently been replaced on the Minor, although it isn't clear quite when. These include a left-hand chassis leg, front and rear floor sections, boxing panels, under-sills, brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders, brake shoes, pipes, dynamo, regulator, ignition coil, battery, hood and four tyres. As these are date-stamped 2006, it is likely that this list of bits was fitted around the time of the 2007 restoration.
