Still sporting its original Commodore Blue hue, this Series V Sunbeam Alpine was registered in November 1967 and is showing 32,193 miles on its odometer. There's no record of an MoT back to 2005, when online MoT records began; however, as an historic vehicle, the Sunbeam no longer requires annual testing. A previous owner recommissioned the car some years ago after it had been off-road since the early 1980s, with a Weber carburettor conversion (but the original Strombergs are with the car) and a four-speed synchromesh gearbox fitted. There's also Polyurethane bushes on the front while the hood is also quite new along with the Coverdale carpets. An overdrive and propshaft are supplied for installation by the new owner.
Paperwork with the Alpine includes the V5C, a list from a previous owner of all the work done during the recommissioning, a pile of invoices from 2020 to 2021, parts brochures, owner's handbook, club magazines and books. There's also a copy of a Classic Car Weekly feature on the Alpine from 2009 plus the book Alpine: The Classic Sunbeam by Chris McGovern.
