The Evante began production in Spalding, Lincolnshire, in 1987 and was inspired by the Lotus Elan. The cars had glassfibre and carbon-fibre bodies on a spaceframe chassis and used Ford Kent-based 1.6- and 1.7-litre engines. After the original enterprise failed in 1991, the car was redeveloped to take a Ford Zetec 1.8-litre engine. This example is believed to be one of the last seven built and is being sold for restoration. This example has been stored in a barn/shed for the last 10 years. While it doesn't run, the engine does turn by hand. The original headlamp pods come with the car.

The car was registered in March 1993 and has six registered keepers showing on its V5C. Its odometer shows 27,708 miles and its last MoT expired in October 2015 after having been tested the year before at an indicated 27,582 miles. The only paperwork with the Evante is its current and a past V5C.
