This Austin A90 Atlantic was the subject of a failed restoration attempt some years ago. The interior (seats, door panels, dash trim etc) were taken to an upholsterers in Surrey while the rest of the car went to a bodywork restorer in South London. However, on checking with the upholsterer six months later, it was discovered that the company had gone bankrupt and all its stock disposed of. The bodywork restoration continued and structural repairs were completed to the bodywork and chassis, with the Austin primed and prepared for a respray in its original Ensign Red before the company had to move out of its premises, which led to it ceasing trading. The car has since been stored for the past 20 years in lock-ups in Suffolk. It comes with a spare boot lid and steering wheel, plus its engine and gearbox.

The Austin was registered in September 1952 and shows three registered keepers on its V5C. Its odometer shows 42,450 miles. The history file includes the current V5C and previous V5s, two owner's manuals, parts catalogues, technical info, club magazines, some old invoices and MoT certificates, and other miscellaneous paperwork.
