This fantastic collection of football memorabilia has been the pride and joy of the vendor since he was 7 years old. His mother worked at Wembley stadium and he regularly went with her to help, getting to know the other people that worked there. When he was 14, he finally started to earn a wage when assigned to help in the bar where he met many of the players and managers and collected their signatures. The atmosphere was greatly different then, in the days when there were no TV replays. The vendor explained that the management would ‘turn a blind eye’ to the little ‘scams’ that the young lads did to supplement their wage. He carried on working at the stadium until he was 22 and left for university. His local team was Chelsea and, together with his father, went to every single match whilst they lived nearby
