1970 TRIUMPH GT6 MK2

Our vendor bought this 2.0-litre Triumph GT6 MkII in 2018, since when it has always been kept under cover when not in use. It features twin carbs and an overdrive transmission. It was overhauled during 2020 by a classic car restoration specialist with work done on the suspension and engine to get it running and driving as it should. This included the engine and carburettors tuned, fuel lines, some engine pipes, water pump, radiator, wheel cylinders, brake hoses and pipes, thermostat, brake pads, rear differential oil seal and oil cooler replaced, brake calipers redone, the ignition upgraded and new rear dampers fitted. Two years ago, it received a respray. It was serviced in April last year. The GT6 was registered August 1970 and is now showing 89,887 miles on its odometer. Its last MoT expired in February 2022 after being tested the year before at an indicated 89,200 miles. However, as an historic vehicle, it is now MoT-exempt. In April 1998, the car was a Category D insurance loss; vehicle damaged but repairable but insurer decided not to repair. The car comes with its V5C, old service book and recent invoices. There's also a spare key as well.
