1987 MATCHLESS G80 500CC

This 500cc Matchless G80 is one of 900 bikes made, 300 of which had electric start - which this one has. Registered in November 1987, it has recently been recommissioned after a period out of use. The recent work has included an ultrasonic carburettor clean plus attention to the chain and sprocket. Its odometer shows 9300 miles and its MoT is valid until March 2026. It was ridden to the auction, and is reported to be running and riding well. Paperwork includes the V5C, invoices, a copy of Classic Bike Guide magazine, MoTs back to 2001 (which seem to support the low indicated mileage), engine and transmission workshop manual and old tax discs.
