2286cc. This Land Rover Series IIA 88in was first registered in Lincolnshire on 18th February 1969. The previous owner gave it a rebuild over the course of five years, finishing in 2018, and created a large book which carefully documents the process.

The rebuild used parts from a 1972 Series III donor vehicle, including a Series III bulkhead, dashboard, gearbox and front bodywork, and the original diesel engine was replaced with a 2.25-litre petrol ex-military unit. The chassis was professionally renovated with a new rear crossmember, two outriggers and a front spring hanger, while the brakes were upgraded to dual-circuit brake lines with a brake servo, converting the front wheels to 11in twin leading shoe configuration found in later models. The Land Rover is also equipped with freewheeling hubs.

Our vendor bought the Land Rover 7 years ago from the person who rebuilt it. Paperwork includes the V5C, the large documentation book, various receipts, old tax discs and the vendor's printed summary of the car's history. Two boxes of spares also come with the vehicle. The odometer is showing 47,060 miles.

The vendor informs us that the sidelights are currently not working when the headlamps are on.
